I made Iris Serving Dish on the potter’s wheel from stoneware clay, giving it a flat bottom bottom and a flat rim.
After I bisque fired the dish, I dipped the outside of Iris Serving Dish in a plum purple glaze that I make. Then I poured a cream glaze inside the dish and trailed purple lines across the surface. This makes a spontaneous, exciting design over the surface.
