I made Taos Bucket on the potter’s wheel using stoneware clay. The shapely cylinder is a classic and functional form. The bottom is flat with the edges angled so it appears to sit up off the counter or table.
I dip and pour 4 different glazes to create the Taos Glaze, overlapping blue, green, cream, and gold. The dynamic result is reminds me of the natural environment of Northern New Mexico.
Put Taos Bucket in the fridge and then chill your favorite bottle of wine. Or if the wine is already cold, the stoneware clay will help keep it cold.
Use it as an ice bucket. Organize your favorite kitchen tools, keeping them handy and on the counter. Makes a beautiful addition to any countertop. It’s also a vase! Create a stunning floral centerpiece.
