Taos Dome Sugar is slightly wider than the original. I made Taos Dome Sugar on the potter’s wheel from stoneware clay. It has a seated domed lid.
4″Diameter x 2″H (3.75″H to top of lid)
The ‘Taos’ glaze consists of overlapping blue, green, cream, & gold glazes. I dip and pour the 4 glazes in a technique I have developed that results in a surface that references Northern New Mexico skies and mountains, clouds and pines.
Store your favorite loose or packets of sweeteners. Use as a salt cellar. Maybe you collect your coins and they need a holder. Or your office supplies need gathering. You could even bake a little something in this gem. I fire to 2200 degrees F so it is also an oven safe crock. Hmmm, the possibilities abound.
