I made Taos Honey Pot on the potter’s wheel from stoneware clay. It has a seated lid with a cut out so you can keep a spoon or honey wand in the jar.
3.25″Diameter x 3.75″H
The ‘Taos’ glaze consists of overlapping blue, green, cream, & gold glazes. I dip and pour and daub the 4 glazes in a technique I have developed that results in a surface that references Northern New Mexico skies and mountains, clouds and pines.
Taos Honey Pot comes with a natural wooden combed wand. You can also use a spoon, or, fill the cut out with some bees wax to keep it air tight. Use for honey or sugar. Store your favorite loose or packets of sweeteners. Use as a salt cellar.
