I made Taos Medium Pasta Bowl on the potter’s wheel with stoneware clay and then trimmed a slight foot.
Called ‘Taos”, the glaze combination achieves an overall effect that is reminiscent of the natural environment in Northern New Mexico. I layer 4 different glazes in a process I have developed which involves dipping, pouring, splashing, and trailing. Blue, green, and cream glazes I make myself; and I purchase the red gold glaze.
The melding of the glazes is somewhat unique each time, making groupings of dinnerware in the Taos glaze, or an entire place setting interesting. Not too matchy-matchy. The effects are consistent enough, however, to build your collection piece by piece.
Use this bowl for serving sides, pasta, or a large salad; or, use Taos Medium Pasta Bowl to mix up batters or large batches of sauces; or even a fruit bowl. And it’s well-balanced and durable.
Makes a great wedding gift, anniversary gift, house warming gift, and will compliment any dining or serving table and home decor.
Fired to 2200 degrees F. Oven and dishwasher safe.
10″ Diameter x 3.25″ High.
Compared to Taos Tall Serving Bowl.
