I made Taos Sugar Round on the potter’s wheel from stoneware clay. I trimmed the bottom flat. The lid is a perfect fit inside the galley with a knob that is comfortable to grasp.
The ‘Taos” glaze consists of dipping and overlapping blue, green, cream, and gold glazes. The dynamic result reminds me of the natural environment that is Northern New Mexico: Blue sky, dreamy clouds, pinon trees, and sunflowers.
Use Taos Sugar Round to store your favorite sweetener. Store other condiments or nuts or grains in it.
Fired to 2200 degrees F. Yes you can bake in it!
