October Trees by Roger Harrington. Oils on canvas. 11 x 14. Framed. The view from our kitchen window, looking north and east toward the mountain is frequent subject for painting. There’s a strip of cottonwoods that light up once a year! In this particular moment, a swath of light had penetrated an otherwise low light atmosphere, creating a delicious contrast.
