Description
I made Taos Sugar on the potters wheel, with a seated lid and a flat bottom. Classic sugar bowl shape. 4″ diameter x 3″ high.
The ‘Taos’ glaze consists of overlapping blue, green, cream, & gold glazes. I dip and pour the 4 glazes in a technique I have developed that results in a surface that references Northern New Mexico: blue skies, green mountains, cream puff clouds, and golden sunshine.
Store your favorite sweetener for a pinch or teaspoon ready when you need it. Keep it on the table or on the countertop. Or use as a salt cellar. Or to store sweetener packets. Maybe the coin from your pockets needs a catching jar. Or your rubber bands need a gathering pot.
You can even bake a little brie or dip in this gem. Use it to serve salsa and then cover and pop the left overs in the refrigerator!
Taos Sugar makes a great gift when you are the guest at dinner or a holiday soiree; or to say “happy birthday”, “welcome to the neighborhood”, or “thank you”!
It’s a little treasure for the right stuff.
Fired to 2200 degrees F. Oven, microwave, dishwasher safe.
