Description
I made this Wood Fired Dinner Plate on the potter’s wheel, with “high coup” walls and a flat rim and trimmed a slight foot. Sturdy and true.
Leaving the exterior bare creates a natural, textural, and deep iron brown surface, while the inside is lined with a shino slip and accented with brush. Wood Fired Dinner Plate is food safe. The brushwork is a spontaneous, energetic, moment recorded with deer-tail brush and black slip.
Rustic, charming, and full of character. Use for an individual meal or as a serving platter. Display when not in service.
Makes a great wedding, housewarming, holiday, or anytime gift! Unique, durable, and attractive.
