Description
I made Black Satin Vase2 on the potter’s wheel. With a classic shape and tapered neck that flares at the top. Flat bottom.
After I fire the vase in a bisque kiln, I prep the vase for glazing and then dipped the vase in a black glaze. This black satin glaze fires out into a smooth, clean finish that is soft and yummy to the touch. A contemporary classic.
Imagine willow, delphinium, snapdragon, sunflower, or white calla lily. Wow. What a way to accent your home with contemporary beauty. Add style and drama to a dining table or side board. Display without flowers as a sculptural accent. Perhaps on a mantel or in the entry way. Light weight. Well balanced.
Black Satin Vase2 makes a unique and special wedding gift, anniversary, housewarming, or holiday gift. Gift yourself! You can’t go wrong with this classic beauty. And it’s one of three black vases in various heights so you can make a group or share the love. The group of vases, called “three”, is also available on this website and what a stunning presentation they would make in any home.
Vase is 11.5″ Tall. Fired to 2200 degrees F in oxidation.
