I made Verde Sugar on the potters wheel, with a seated lid and a flat bottom.
The ‘Verde’ glaze consists of overlapping green & cream rust glazes. The result is a clean, tailored surface. The cream glaze breaks to rust over edges and adds a hint of old world character.
Store your favorite sweetener for a pinch or teaspoon ready when you need it. Use it to store your sweetener packets. Or use as a salt cellar. Keep it on the kitchen table or on the kitchen countertop. Maybe the coin from your pockets needs a catching jar. Or your rubber bands need a gathering pot. Looks neat in the office or bureau or powder room.
You can even bake a little brie or dip in this gem. Use it to serve salsa and then cover and pop the left overs in the refrigerator! The possibilities are almost endless. Why you could even make your own candle with it.
Verde Sugar makes a great gift when you are the guest at dinner or a holiday soiree; or to say “happy birthday”, “welcome to the neighborhood”, or “thank you”!
It’s a little treasure for the right stuff.
Fired to 2200 degrees F. Oven, microwave, dishwasher safe.
