Verde Treble is a popular item for anyone who likes to entertain even casually. I assemble 3 wheel-thrown bowls and then add a rolled and textured handle to finish it off. The result is an unusual, practical, and attractive addition to your table ware and service. Why not start a new collection in this glaze pattern?
This glaze technique, which I call “Verde”, started with a dip at the bottom and at the top into a copper green glaze that I make. Next, I dip from the bottom to overlap at the top with the cream rust glaze that I make. This creates areas just green and areas just cream, and an intersection of the two. Something about the finished look reminds me of the beach!
Each cup is approximately 3” Dia. and 3” H.
Use Verde Treble for your favorite combos or themes: Guacamole, salsa, sour cream perhaps. Black, kalamata, and green olives. Peanuts, cashews, and almonds. How about pretzels, chips, and chex mix. Or M&Ms, Jelly Beans, and Reeces Pieces. So many possibilities, so little time off!
And this handy ditty is lightweight and well-balanced. Caddies make great organizers for, say, cotton balls, cosmetic sponges, and towelettes. Makes a great thank you, wedding, housewarming, or holiday gift.
